Thank you for posting 1975cart. Your message is so delusional that you should learn how to disentangle yourself from the dire JW propaganda which you don’t even realise you are suffering from. The WTBTSociety has a complete and unbroken 100% failure rate of its predictions over its whole one hundred and thirty five years history, what a triumph of ignorance! It has no credibility left. How many times can you cry “armageddon” and still be believed?
Why did the Watchtower org join the UN? You will not have been told the real reason because you are a victim of JW org mind control.
“Millions now living will never die”... Millions of JWs now dead never even got a life!
What happened to the seventy odd years of “the 1914 generation” hope? This deception made the Watchtower rich and increased its membership, but it was false wasn’t it?
Go back to the curse of the governing body?...I would rather boil my head ...but surprisingly when you learn The Truth About The Truth and once you have recovered from the trauma, life is very good... I strongly recommend it! (But you can only achieve this if you understand how to think critically).

The image of the Watchtower was for decades truly dull and unappetising. The new public relations makeover has done wonders for this malign, self interested and heartless cult. But what is their overall objective? You ask.
I’d say that there is, and ever was, only one consideration which exercises the mind of the holy leaders of this religious corporation: “Will this decision advance the financial interests of the sacred Watchtower organisation?“ Expediency is brought to bear on any doctrine which is failing and is revised in the exciting aura of "new light". It has one purpose; to perpetuate the power of the leadership by the financial security of the organisation. There is total absurdity in deciding new doctrine under these circumstances...it is truly something to ponder.
How possibly could “truth” ever be a matter of policy decision by a financially driven committee? -

The reason that there is always ambiguity about the nature of Christ in relation to his Father is that the source idea stems from a pagan myth of solar deities. The Jewish concept of God had already grown out of worship of the polytheistic Yahweh as one of the seventy sons of El in the Canaanite pantheon. However with the christ myth of the Greek texts, the early church leaders needed to secure their own role in society by bringing together all the differing pagan beliefs for the sake of acceptability to all comers. (The attempts and reasons and success in doing this are another whole story.)
The root belief, retold from time immemorial as part of the meaning of life that had been passed down through the generations, was all described in the starry night sky. The Bible which in many parts of the world replaced the astrological ordinances was not yet thought of.
How would late Stone Age peoples have viewed the reason for the marked changing of light intensity between midwinter and high summer? What would account for it? It was because the Sun God was born every year on the first day that the rising sun started to move north again from its most southerly position on the horizon three days after the shortest day of the year. How else could it have been explained? There was no Wikipedia back then!
The Sun god was born at midwinter, (Christmas) he died at the spring equinox (Easter) as a sacrificial saviour deity and went his way to his heavenly solar father who was also a Sun God. That is why the sun shines so brightly after the spring equinox.
It was on the basis of this belief that the course of the life of the solar hero was elaborated. It was re-told from time immemorial under different names which formed the saviour plays and beliefs of antiquity. They centred around a “superman” half god half human, born of a virgin in a cave with animals present (reference to the zodiacal virgin, taurus etc) who had twelve disciples (reference the twelve divisions of the zodiac) who healed the sick, performed miracles, walked on water (like the morning sun does) he resurrected the dead (Lazarus=aserus=Osiris) he died and overcame death. This pagan tale was retold in the Greek scriptures, embroidered and re-labelled using a name “Jesus” (for the sake of Jewish punters) and asserted them as if they are holy truths.
And the poor people believed... and the Church grew rich...and we fell for it too...

What though, if and when the good ship Watchtower sinks below the waves and the passengers and crew escape (I trust the captains will honourably go down with the ship) that still leaves about forty thousand other cults deluding their true believers.
Do we have a responsibility to expose all cultic religious behaviour or is it just JWs? -

I did mention that snakes do have embryonic legs which are not normally expressed even in the young but looking at the photo it is possible to see the shape of the whole reptile inside the snake. Of course I could be wrong, there have been humans with four legs for that matter.
I live in crop circle territory and people come from far and wide imagining they are the work of aliens but the students who make them celebrate their hoaxes with much beery enjoyment next evening in the pub.

True, creationists would ask that if things evolved there must be transitional animals but then again so would non-believers and scientists ask for that same evidence. That is why I mentioned skinks which demonstrate the plasticity needed in evolution (as found in the genera of the family scincidae).
So I can’t agree with you Simon that it springs entirely from the minds of creationists. ‘Transitional’ in this context doesn’t mean on a planned upward journey, it means changing from one thing to another, something which Darwin needed to demonstrate for credibility to his theorem. Thanks to palaeontology we do have the fossil evidence which Darwin would have loved to have shown back in 1859.
Come on people, the reason that photo was taken was because it made the snake, stuffed with its last meal, look like it had a leg...not because it actually had one!
Btw did you know that boas have a pelvis? Very good to constrict with. Also that most genera of snakes develop ‘limb buds’ during early embryonic stages but which remain undeveloped? Damning for creationism but hard evidence for evolution.

Jehovah Witness promotion of JW.org as the place to get answers to all of lifes important question is the height of arrogance
by Brokeback Watchtower inwe are hearing reports of this promotion of the website by the jw and it seems to be a resource for them to dodge questions of their faith, when they don't have or want to give an answer to a question they direct the house holder to the organization/corporation's website to get the answer as if it really existed.there.. i think soon they are going to drop the door to door work all together as completely unprofitable, i mean their donation arrangement is a complete flop and has cost them i'm sure so they are in the process of shipping as many as they can into building up real estate for the corporation, because that is where the money is right now.. the whole jw.org is just a complete failure as a source of good information and only scare away people except the most vulnerable/gullible.. .

The JW org is about as useful as a one legged centipede. You have a hard question? “Then turn to JW org.” Why? Why on earth would you want do that when in the one hundred and thirty five years that they have been publishing, I can think of not one original thing that the Watchtower has ever said which has been a worthwhile piece of information to own and act upon. (Apart from the platitudes on good social behaviour which don’t need telling in the first place). They have though spewed a catalogue of harmful misleading information and false predictions.
Just imagine the colossal expenditure of time and human effort listening to and pursuing this organisation for all those years...the wasted lives...the stifled ambitions...the deaths.
Forests, probably once visible from space, will have disappeared in the prodigious paper consumption used in the past for JWorg literature. The print numbers for magazines were the highest distribution of any title in the world... and yet they must also be the least read... and not surprising since the contents are rubbish! No “rubbish” is too kind a word, JW literature is unmitigated and irredeemably useless drivel! The whole output, of the JW org, in the name of God, is simply indoctrination to bend the minds of the flock towards submission to their deranged will.
